My family have lived in the vale since 1685, mostly in Long Clawson and Hose. I moved to Stathern in 1970 and have seen a lot of changes since then. I have been a councillor for too long!

I have lived in Stathern since 1995. I have 2 daughters both of whom attended Stathern primary school; my youngest is still a pupil there whilst my eldest attends Belvoir High school. I have always been involved with village activities, the earliest being the PlayPark development (helping rebuild the dry stone wall). I then went on the join the SRA who manged this facility and was Chair for a number of years. I have also been involved with the Stathern Festival since its inception. I have been a Parish Councillor since March 2003.

Now retired after a career at Boots, I have lived in Stathern since 2002. Previously living in Nottingham where we brought up 3 children, although originally a Yorkshireman.
I was involved with the consultation for the Parish Plan and am a school governor for Stathern Primary school.
